Elva Rose Anderson, 75, of Moundsville, WV, passed away, peacefully, Sunday, November 26, 2017, in Moundview Nursing Home, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 13, 1942, a daughter of the late James H. and Pansy (Bunting) Hall Sr. Elva was a member of the Church of Nazarene for many years. She was a talented musician who could learn to play any instrument by ear, and loved to travel and visit the State Parks of the state she loved the most, West Virginia. Elva loved the Lord Jesus, and dedicated her life to sharing his love with everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh M. Anderson Sr.; one son, Hugh M. “Butch” Anderson Jr.; two brothers, Samuel J. Hall Sr., and James H. Hall Jr., and one sister, Mildred Cheatham.

Elva is survived by one brother, Robert Hall of Moundsville; three sisters, Nancy Parks, Shirley (Joe) Holmes, and Wanda (Glen) Schmidt all of Moundsville, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Care Funeral Home, 1500 Second Street, from 10 am until time of service at 12 noon. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the church of your choice.
