Eddie James Mike

Eddie J. Mike, 75, of Wellsville, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.

Eddie was born on February 20, 1947, in Steubenville, OH, the son of the late Ross and Ruby (Wiggins) Mike.  He was a graduate of Steubenville High School and lived in the area his entire life.  Eddie was employed as a Foreman with Ohio Edison and remained there until his retirement.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his wife, Glenda Mike, who survives him at home; one son, Dr. Jared Mike, of Estero, FL; three daughters: Shauna Mike, of Houston, TX, Leslie Mike, of Houston, TX, and Monica Mike, of Canton, OH.  He also leaves behind his brother, Ross Mike, Jr., of Tucson, AZ

Along with his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Mike. 

A private family service will be held at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists- MacLean Chapel, in Wellsville.

    I’ve known Mr. Mike my entire life! I can remember both him and Glenda attending my games, parties and graduations! After my dad passed, Mr. Mike even promised to walk me down the isle if I should get married! Eddie Mike was a constant in my life and will be greatly missed!

    Eddie Mike, what a Great Role Model. He set a great example that a man's first priority is providing for his family. He did that by showing a great work ethic. A quiet soft-spoken guy, I never knew him to talk a lot, but what he said was profound and on point. Another great example was I never knew him to belittle anyone or to spread negativity about anyone. He was a great example of being a great father.
