Gifts & Memorial Donations

Dr. Ross Rosario Lentini, born on December 13, 1950, in Cleveland, OH, passed away on January 22, 2024, at East Liverpool City Hospital. A man possessed of many talents and passions, he left behind a legacy of intellect, talent, laughter, admiration and love. He was a man gifted in using his hands, brain, and heart to care for and heal his fellow man, infusing a sense of humor and grace in all he did. Ross indeed led a remarkable life.

His impressive journey in medicine began in 1983 with his graduation from medical school. Armed with a medical degree from Santiago University of Technology School of Medicine in the Dominican Republic, Ross dedicated himself to healing, caring for, and touching countless lives for 37 years and concluded with his retirement in 2020.

Medicine was just one of Ross’s many passions he enjoyed throughout his life. Beyond his stethoscope and white coat, he was an avid adventurer at heart. With a love of exploration, he became a licensed pilot, fearlessly soaring through the clouds. Never one to sit still, when not doctoring or flying, he was busy forging metal into art or jewelry, using his remarkable carpentry skills or playing one of multiple instruments as part of bands he was associated with over the years.

While his accomplishments were undeniably impressive, Ross’s greatest joy and legacy came from his family, friends and loved ones. When anyone was in need, Ross was quick to lend a helping hand.  He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends, finding solace and laughter in their presence. With his quick wit and ease of laughter, Ross brought great joy to all who knew him.

As we bid farewell to Ross, let us cherish the memory of him not only as a doctor, but as a loving husband, father, family member and friend who embraced life’s adventures with intelligence, determination and wit. His memory will forever bring smiles to those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.  (Don’t worry Doc, there’s no broccoli in Heaven!)

Along with his parents Salavtore and Johnetta Lentini, Ross is preceded in death by his sister, Annie Carlisle and brother-in-law, Jake Nicholson.

Ross will be greatly missed by: his wife, Lisa Nicholson Lentini; sons: Michael Lentini, and Salvatore (Beth) Lentini; grandchildren: Amanda, Rosario, Sabrina, Sydney, and Sophia; step sons, John and Regis Auer; siblings: Maria (Tim) King, John (Renee) Lentini, and Carmen Lentini.  Ross will also be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Janet and Jerry, Candy, Michael and Charlie, and Pat and Daniel, along with many nieces and nephews.

A note of special thanks to his Primary Care Physician Dr. Sherry Thomas, Dr Mumtaz Husain and Dr Barnett, his longtime colleague, as well as the staff of East Liverpool Hospital and Calcutta Healthcare.

In keeping with Ross’s wishes, there will be no services, but here is what Ross would say to all he knows and loves….”I’ll SEE YOU WHEN YOU ARE OLDER”
