Ms. Dorothy “Dee Dee” E. Russell, of East Liverpool, OH, passed away on February 21, 2024 at the age of 69 , at Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on August 13, 1954, in East Liverpool, OH, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Bucholz) Russell.  She resided in the area her entire life.

Dee Dee graduated from East Liverpool High School with the Class of 1972.  After graduation, she assisted her father in their family electrical business. Apart from her professional endeavors, Dee Dee found joy in various interests. She cherished her time at the YMCA and found solace in creating beautiful needlepoint pieces. She was also an active participant in the Community Christian Choir, where she displayed her love for music and community engagement.  Her beloved dog, King, brought her immense happiness and companionship for many years

Along with her parents, Dee Dee is preceded in death by her sisters, Jerri L. Brown and Corrine R. Donley.

 She leaves behind her sister, Joan A. Barnes of Florida, and her nieces: Robin Holland, Shawnette Cain, and Cheryl Warren; and nephews: Dennis McCoy, David Lipps, John (Doris) Brown, Kevin (Sally) Donley, Mark Donley, and Dana Donley

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5PM-7PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, in Calcutta.  The funeral will follow at 7PM.  Dee Dee will be laid to rest near her parents at Riverview Cemetery.
