Doris Ann (Scritchfield) Hall, born December 21, 1929, went on to be with Jesus Christ, our Lord, December 17, 2018. She was lifted up in the presence of her only daughter, Pamela Hall Hoffer, and the compassionate tender care of the 4th-floor surgical staff of Wheeling Medical Park.
She is survived by her daughter, and her only son, James E. Hall, Jr.; five granddaughters, Jessica Hoffman of Dallas, TX, Jennifer Hall of Wheeling, Christina Hall of Wheeling, Ann Marie Hoffer of Charleston, SC and Sarah Hall of Wheeling; eight great-grandchildren, Justin Hall, Lilly Hall, Jasmine Hall, Jacob Hall, Annabella Hall, Adam Hall, Nemeh Hall and Amira Hall and two great-great-grandchildren, June Rose Hall and Jazzariah Hall.
Doris gave her life to Jesus Christ at a young age and set about his work. For many years she had a nationwide prison ministry, where she sent literature to further belief in Jesus Christ. She also had a belief that we should honor and obey the Ten Commandments, and with her own Social Security Check, paid for printing and sending and passing them out and giving them to anyone else. She would lay them down for a lost soul to pick up. The love of Jesus guided Doris every day, in every way, in everything she said or did.
She will be interred in Mt. Olivet Cemetery this coming Spring and a small celebration of her life to those who wish to attend. Until then, her ashes will be cherished by her loving daughter, Pam. Her legacy will be her profound faith in Jesus Christ.
