Gifts & Memorial Donations

East Liverpool:  Donna R Bender, 72 passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Donna was born in East Liverpool on March 16, 1948, a daughter of the late Donald Dunn and Betty Ammon Dunn.  She graduated from Beaver Local High School.  She lived her entire life in the East Liverpool area.

Donna married Thomas Bender in August 1967 and from their union, two children were born.  Family became everything to Donna.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.  Donna was always an animal lover, and could always be found with her little dog, Peanut, close by.

Along with her husband, Donna leaves behind: her son Mike (Tracey) Bender, of Brookfield, OH and her daughter, Angie Jones of East Liverpool.  Donna will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren: Elicia Travis, Heith (Kristen Murphy) Travis, Nicholas (Sharon Kuhns) Travis, Mandy Bender, Katie Bender and Luke Bender; great-grandchildren: Karrigan, Lexi, Camden, Halen, Aella, Daniel, Kalen, Adalyn , Pricilla, and Brandon; and great-great grandchildren: Donovan, Orie, and Paislee. Also left to cherish her memory will be her brother, Richard Dunn, and her four sisters: Sherry Smith, Candy Zaperach, Janee Serago, and Jaye Cochran  She will also be sadly missed by her “furbaby” Peanut.

Along with her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her grandson, Mike Bender.

Donna’s wishes were that no services be observed.  The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.  To send condolences to the family and sign the guestbook, please visit carechapel.com

    Anita (Rayburn) Santa Maria says:
I’m so sad to hear of Donna passing. I haven’t been to Ohio in awhile so I haven’t seen her in years. Donna was always laughing and being ornery when we were in school. When we moved to Calcutta (in 4th grade) our friendship began on the school bus. She was a fun friend and will always be remembered for her laugh. My heart felt condolences to Tom and family.
