Donald Neil Bolen Sr., 91, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

He was born May 22, 1930, the son of the late Ernest Dieckamn and Cora (Williams) Bolen. Don was a US Navy Reserve Veteran and retired as an iron worker from Local 549. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the past treasurer and officer of Marshall County Senior Citizens. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing cards, dominos and Yahtzee, golfing and bowling. Every year you could find him planting a garden.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy (Drake) Bolen.

Don is survived by his five children, Cynthia (Jerry) Whorton, Donald N. Bolen Jr., Barbara Rice, Brenda Freeman and Sandra (Rick) Burge; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Henderson, Mirinda J Gump, Dawn Nicole (Ron) Allen, Jamie Wade, Christopher Freeman, Corey Rice and Kelly Novel; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Monday, November 1, 2021 at CARE Funeral and Cremation Services, 1500 Second St., Moundsville, from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Interment will be held at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Pythias or to Marshall County Senior Services in C/O www.tmcfunding.com.
