I'm so sorry for your loss. Hearing about her passing caused me to bring out an ancient copy of the Boy Scout handbook she gave me about 60 years ago. I had just joined scouts and I think she wanted to find a home for the book. This edition was also a nature guide and was the beginning point for me learning about trees, birds, animals and plants. Since then, I have helped teach my kids and other people's kids about nature. That one small thing so many years ago has meant a lot to me.

Dee and Everett were a fixture in my young life and our family. They were great friends to my parents, and they were frequently at our house, where they would get together and play cards, have backyard cookouts, etc. They were also neighbors of my aunt and uncle. Loved them both and would try to visit when I was able to get back home. Sorry to hear that Dee has passed. My heartfelt condolence to all the family.
