David E. Powell, 71 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Valley Hospice’s Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.

He was born October 10, 1950 in Wheeling, West Virginia son of the late Harry E. and Winifred Dillree Powell, Jr. David was retired from the K Mart Corporation, a Methodist by faith, a member of Masonic Lodge #5 AF &AM Wheeling and the Ohio River Valley Elks in Martins Ferry and a graduate of West Liberty College.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Rickie.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth “Lee” Brawdy Powell. Also several cousins, Mark (Christine) Hicks, Diane (Randy) Vaughn, John Hicks, Cindi (Richard) Fowler, Chuck Cline, Charles Hamilton, Linda and Chris Hamilton, Cynthia Freese and Cassandra (Ed) Weith, two brothers-in-law, George (Melissa) Bragalone and Michael Bragalone, a niece, Madalyn Ogburn and a nephew, Grant Bragalone

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of David E. Powell at the Care Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1pm.

    Lee, I am so sorry to learn of Dave’s passing. He was such a good guy. I remember all the good times we had as neighbors in Wolf Estates. Many night bonfires. He, Sally and I took real estate classes together and had so much fun. My heart goes out to you for your loss.
