David C. Tilton, 62, of East Liverpool, Ohio passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 11, 2016 following a lengthy illness.

He was born in East Liverpool on December 14, 1953 the son of the late Charles S. Tilton Jr. and Betty J. (Robinson) Tilton of East Liverpool. David lived his entire life in this area, was a 1972 graduate of East Liverpool High School, a member of the Chester Church of the Nazarene and worked as a Heister Operator for Homer Laughlin, last working in November of 2014.  He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan and loved watching football.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son: David C. Tilton and his wife Shannon of East Liverpool, OH and a granddaughter:  Sierra McAbee of Chester, West Virginia, several cousins and his long time friend Kathy Solterbeck.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Steve Cummings of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Funeral Home on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.

    Worked with Dave at the nuclear plant more years ago than I care to remember, recently saw him in the same nursing home my father is in. I recognized his smile immediately. great co worker, even better person. rip Dave, you'll be remembered. condolences to his family.
