Daniel L. Drum, 66 of East Liverpool recently relocating to Arizona, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, after suddenly becoming ill at his family residence in East Liverpool.

He was born in East Liverpool on December 18, 1950 the son of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Green) Drum. Living most of his life in this area, Daniel moved to Tallmadge, OH and was last living in Kingman, Arizona before recently coming back to visit in this area. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, 4-wheeling and hunting gold while living in Arizona. He had received a Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University and was last working in YSU’s Genetics Lab and was a member of the Cedar Hills Community Church in Arizona.

He is survived by his wife Shirley (Biros) Scragg Drum whom he married July 31, 2005 and a step-daughter: Amy Scragg of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11 AM with Rev. Susan Deitrick, retired, officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta funeral home on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM.
