Dakota Robert Douglass, 26, of Moundsville, WV, formerly of Cameron, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, of a stage 5 brain tumor, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

He was born November 10, 1994, a son Duane Douglass and Deborah (LeMasters) Conaway. Dakota was a member of Cameron Baptist Church and the Church of Christ and a member of the Cameron Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid video gamer and loved this job as a coal miner with GMS Mine Repair & Maintenance, but above everything else, he loved and cherished his son, James.

Dakota is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Douglass and maternal grandparents, Earl and Beulah LeMasters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, James Robert Douglass; his step-mom, Jennifer Douglass; five siblings, Paul (Cheyenne) Douglass, Katrina Douglass and her fiancée Oscar Lewis, Shayla Douglass and her significant other Cody Jones, Isaiah Douglass and Josiah Douglass; paternal grandmother, Barbara Crowell; his aunt, Heather (Preston) Yeater and uncle Vincent (Jessie) LeMasters.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 12 pm until time of a memorial service at 3 pm, at CARE Funeral and Cremation, 1500 Second St., Moundsville.
