Curtis A. Miller, age 93, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Valley Oaks Care Center in East Liverpool after a brief illness.

Born in Salineville, Oh. On March 11, 1923, he was the son of the late Armine R. and Florence (McLean) Miller and had spent most of his life in this area. A graduate of Wellsville High School, Class of 1942, Mr. Miller had been employed as the Bus Supervisor for the East Liverpool School District and oversaw the operations of the Patterson Field, retiring in 1989.

Mr. Miller was a Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. While in the Army he was involved in the Invasion at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margie (Williams) Miller, who he married on June 14, 1947.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Miller is survived by one brother, Clarence Miller of Wellsville, three sisters; Ronda Miller of Wellsville, Josephine Beatty of Wellsville, and Dorothy Ewing of Salem and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Miller, and three sisters; Mae Miller, Vivian Taggart, and Evelyn Taggart.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home with Rev. Vel Vais of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Columbiana Co. Memorial Park.

Friends may call and visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Miller’s memory to a favorite charity.
