Cramer, Glenn “Ben” H., 64, of McMechen, WV passed away on Thursday, February  27, 2014 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

He was born on October 9, 1949 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Donley Ray and Betty Jane Haglock Cramer.

Ben was a member of the first Christian Church of McMechen, avid fisherman, hunter, gardener and wood worker and was a Viet Nam Veteran of the US Marines.

He served 33 years as a police officer and police chief  for the City of McMechen  and then as a master sergeant with the Benwood Police Department, where he retired in 2011.

In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his brother, David Cramer in 1960.

He is survived by his wife of  thirteen years, Tammy Ennis Cramer of McMechen; son, John (Cybil) Cramer of Sherrard, WV; three step children, John (Amanda) Hall of Benwood, WV, Misty (James) Ferguson of Wheeling and Jennifer (Jeff) McKenzie of Wheeling; brother, Clifford (Becky) Cramer of Moundsville, WV; five grandchildren, Johnna Renee Cramer of Sherrard,

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cramer family.

Dustin and Matthew Hall of Benwood and Brandon and Braylon Ferguson of Wheeling and Bens favorite Buddy, Cosmo Cramer.
Friends will be received Sunday, March 2 from 1pm until time of service at 4pm at Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville WV with Rev. Rodney Hubbs Officiating.
