She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Carney of Moundsville, WV; brother, Thomas “Worm” Carney of Moundsville, WV; and nephew, James “J.B.” Carney of Moundsville, WV.

Squeak was born on March 25, 1964, in Glen Dale, WV to Erma and Robert Carney. She never married Lonnie Roth Sr. but the couple welcomed 2 children into their home and Squeak set about teaching them love and compassion as the values of life.  Her children remember her as a kind, caring, understanding, and compassionate mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and always try their best at any endeavor. But the most important thing she taught them is how to be parents themselves.

Squeak was accomplished at being a mother and grandmother and often showed that talent by being a mother to children that were not even hers. She even went as far as taking in her children’s friends and other kids of the family at times when they needed it. She was a generous and dedicated individual who loved to help others and to cook. She always made sure that everyone ate and loved her cooking, usually feeding the majority of the neighborhood as well. She was so passionate about family and cooking, that she used her amazing food to always bring everyone together.

A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday March 30, 2022, 2 p.m. at Care Funeral Home, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, WV with a reception to follow at the VFW in Moundsville. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Squeak’s life.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Amber Losh at P.O. Box 93, Harrisville, OH 43974.

The family would like to thank all friends and family, Wheeling Hospital and Care Funeral Home for their efforts, care, and dedication.
