Chris “Crash” Clegg, 40, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at his residence.

He was born December 15, 1976, in Wheeling, the son of Charles “Chuck” and Doris (Beatty) Clegg of Columbus, OH.

Chris was a Christian by faith, worked at the Moundsville Sleep Inn and Suites as maintenance, an avid fisherman, mechanic and great father. He loved outdoor activities especially mudding.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandmother; mother-in-law and an aunt and uncle.

He is survived  wife, Ashley (Anderson) Clegg of Moundsville; two children, Gage and Levi Clegg of Moundsville; two nephews at home, Kevin Wood and Gavin Anderson of Moundsville; two sisters, Misty Shambaugh of Powell, OH and Stacie (Gregory) Sullivan of Moundsville; .two best friends and brothers, Ronnie Burkey of Moundsville and Rick Dyer of Columbus, OH; three nephews, Tanner Runkle and Cody Runkle of Moundsville and Jacob Goodrich of Powell OH; niece, Ashley Goodrich of Powell, OH; paternal grandfather, Charles William Clegg of Grove City, OH and several aunts, uncles,cousins and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Nov, 1, 2017 from 4 pm until time of the Memorial Service at 6 pm at Care Funeral & Cremation Service, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, WV. with Terry Anderson officiating.Online condolences may be expressed to the family at carechapel.com
