Charles W. J. Hooker

HOOKER, Charles W.J., 82, of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital.

He was born November 25, 1937, in Moundsville a son of the late Charles W. and Ruth Trenter Hooker. He was a retired ironworker for Iron Workers Local 549.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Hooker, and one sister, Betty Hooker Derrow.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Shaffer Hooker; two daughters, Stephanie (Shawn) Galner of Cumberland, MD, and Marsha (Herb) Korn of Moundsville; one son, Charles Hooker; two sisters, Sondra (Clinton) Yocum, and Virginia 11/25/1937 (Danny) Whitlatch; six grandchildren, Krysten Ahrens, Devon Gainer, Megan Gaines, Tyler Hooker, Ryan Hooker, and Wyatt Korn; and many nieces and nephews.

At Charles’ request, there will be no visitation.

Arrangements are entrusted to the CARE Funeral Home, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville.
