Charles David Sterling , 85, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Seneca Lake Resorts, passed away Friday December 18 2020 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.
He was born September 19, 1935 in Moundsville, the son of the late Lester and Violet (Amos) Sterling.
Charles was a retired coal miner for Consolidated Coal; a U.S. Army Veteran in which he witnessed the Berlin Wall Crisis; a member of Seneca Veterans Club; a Christian by faith. He was a great mechanic fixing autos, clocks and plumbing.
He is survived by a brother Jeffrey Sterling of Wheeling; sister Loretta Kettlewell of Seneca Lake Resorts; nephew Richie Kettlewell of Seneca Lake Resorts; two nieces Barbara Knight of Glen Easton and Pamela Whipkey of Moundsville.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
