Carolyn J McHenry

Carolyn J. McHenry, 72, of Austintown, OH., formerly of East Liverpool passed away at her home on Thursday, September 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  

Carolyn was born in East Liverpool on October 13, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Maltrich) Prescott.  She was employed as a Finisher at Kingwood Ceramic and later, at Hall China.  Carolyn married the love of her life, Bill McHenry, on November 22, 1968, and they spent the next 53 years making memories together.  In June of 2018, Carolyn and Bill renewed their vows.  The ceremony was a true family affair as it was officiated by their adopted daughter, Jamie Martin.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her loving husband, Bill; her children, Cindi Moore, of East Liverpool,  Scott (Nicole) McHenry, of Boardman, and Jamie Martin, of Austintown; her four grandchildren: Billy (Kaylie) Moore, Jacob Moore, Margot McHenry, and Alivia Shablesky.  Carolyn will also be truly missed by her “fur baby” Sam.

Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Prescott.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 2PM-4PM and from 6PM-8PM at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists- Martin Chapel, in Calcutta.  The funeral will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, September 28th,  at the funeral home, with Carolyn’s nephew , Ricky Prescott officiating.  Carolyn will be laid to rest near her parents in Riverview Cemetery.
