Carol Sue Barnett

Carol Sue Barnett, 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away peacefully at Liza’s Place on Monday, June 26, 2023.

She was born September 12, 1945 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Herman “H.F.” and Mary (Shane) Erbe.

Carol was a retired Registered Nurse in Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Nursing was her passion and she often spoke lovingly of the veterans for which she cared. She was a Presbyterian by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chet Barnett, and sister, Joan Reeb.

She is survived by her brother, Charles (Mary) Erbe, nieces and nephews, Karla Fodor, Melissa Sandru, Mary Reeb, Karl “Dutch” (Lorie) Reeb, Stephanie (Brock) Barnhouse, Chuck (Barbi) Erbe, goddaughter and great niece, Jessica (Ryan) George, great-nieces and nephews, Alisa (John) Scott, Beth Fodor, Stephanie (Kevin) Uhrich, Amanda (Rich) Persiani, Marina (Matthew) Parker, Mackenzie Reeb, Laken (Derek) Sebring, Jessica (Bryan) Bradshaw, Parker Barnhouse, Jenna Barnhouse, Leah (Andrew) Trowbridge, Sadie Erbe, Laban (Jennifer) Erbe, as well as 17 great great nieces and nephews.

Per Carol’s wishes, a private service will be held for her family at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to CARE Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists 204 W. Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
