Carol Ann Daugherty

Carol Ann (Hadam) Daugherty, 73, of Wheeling, WV, passed away July 13, 2019, at her home.

Carol was born September 17, 1945, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late, Carl and Julia (Schewinski) Hadam.  She was retired from Wheeling College; and a Catholic by faith.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur E. Daugherty, in 2018; two sons-in-law, Rick Henry and Dan Hoffman; and a brother-in-law, George Lingaman.  She is survived by her six children, Judy (Craig) Collins, Betty (Kevin) Simeth, Donna Hoffman, Tom Daugherty, Cindy Daugherty and Becky Henry, all of Wheeling; a sister, Barb Lingaman of Wheeling; a sister-in-law, Jane Rueckle of Martins Ferry, OH; brother-in-law, Jerry Daugherty of Wheeling; nine grandchildren, including her caregiver, Holly Monroe; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the CARE Funeral Home, 3828 Jacob Street, Wheeling, on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 12 pm until time of funeral services at 3 pm, with Monsignor Paul Hudock officiating.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
