Carl Lee Blazer, 64, beloved husband and father, passed away on July 18, 2023, at Heritage Valley Beaver. He was born on November 17, 1958, in East Liverpool, the son of the late Thomas E and Ruth (Thomas) Blazer. 

Carl dedicated 42 years of his life to his work as a dye maker at Homer Laughlin. His dedication, skill, and knowledge were evident in his long tenure at the company. Carl took great pride in his craft.

He was a 1977 graduate of Southern Local High school. He was actively involved in various organizations, including the Fraternal Order of Eagles 772, American Legion Post 70, VFW Post 5647, and the Potters Club, where he held a position of founding member. Additionally, he was a proud member of the United Steelworkers of America.

Carl’s time serving in the United States Army further exemplified his commitment to his country and his fellow servicemen. His dedication to duty and honor were carried with him throughout his life.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jodi Johnson Blazer, who survives him at home.  His daughters: Wendy Blazer (Roland) Brooks and Dawn Marie Johnson.  Additionally, he is survived by his sister Bonnie (Jack) Hale;  mother-in-law, Dawn Johnson, brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Kristi Johnson, and his uncle Clarence Thomas. He also leaves behind his  dear fur baby, Maggie “FeFe,” and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his uncle, Carl Blazer

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 1PM-3PM and from 5PM-7PM at the MacLean Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville.   The funeral will be held on Friday, July 28, at 11AM at the MacLean Chapel
