Brandon Scott Holmes, 17, of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Friday, November 17, 2017, as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Brandon was born January 9, 2000, in Glen Dale, W.Va.  He was currently attending Cameron and John Marshall High Schools, and planned on attending the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima, Ohio, to pursue a career in diesel mechanics.  He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Triadelphia.
Brandon was a true outdoorsman.  He loved to kayak, fish, and hunt.  He also enjoyed welding and working on cars and motorcycles.  Above all, he loved to race dirt bikes and four-wheelers.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leon Holmes; maternal grandfather, David Bradley; an aunt, Ginger Bradley Wasmuth; and uncle, Norick Holmes; and three cousins, Karleigh and Kassandra Whipkey, and Donald Wasmuth.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Diana L. (Bradley) Monroe, and her husband, Jerry of Moundsville; his father, Melvin Holmes, and his finace’, Juanita Randolph of Moundsville; his infant daughter, Lindsey; his girlfriend, Jordan Page of Elm Grove; paternal-grandmother, Sylvia Shpeherd of Sherrard; maternal grandmother, Rose Bradley of Moundsville; four brothers, Melvin Holmes, Jr. of Pittsburgh, and Norman Holmes, David Robert Bradley and John David “J.D” Sears, Jr., all of Moundsville; nieces, Raelynn, Brittany and Aubrey; nephews, Ryder, Cody and Brandon; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Friends will be received at the CARE Funeral Home, Moundsville Chapel, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, from 12-3 and 5-8 pmTuesday, and 11 am until time of services at Noon, Wednesday, November 21, 2017, with Pastor Bill Henthorn officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
The family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to assist the family with future expenses.   Contributions may be made online at www.TMCfunding.com.
