Barbara Schaas

Barbara Schaas, 96, of St. Clairsville passed away Wednesday March 23, 2022 at Belmont Manor

Barbara was born on July 15, 1925 in Altenbuch, Germany, a daughter of the late Maria Auguste (Geis) and Peter Anton Berninger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Schaas, an infant daughter, Siglinde Schaas, and siblings, Hedwig Neuberger, Helena Busch and Willi
Berninger.

Surviving are her children, Bridget Schaas of Steubenville Ohio, John Anthony (Karen) Schaas of Pataskala Ohio, Barbara Ann (Allen) Smith of Bridgeport Ohio, Ellen Anita Kuhar of Elm Grove, West Virginia and Janet Lee (Gregory) Stonebraker of Centerville Ohio, eight Grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be private. Funeral Mass with Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, March 28, 2022 with Father Chillog as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.

Arrangements by the CARE Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main Street, Saint Clairsville Ohio.
