Barbara Hester Barnard, 74, of East Liverpool passed on the evening of Monday, November 29th, 2021 after a lengthy battle with her health.

Born March 1st, 1947, she was the daughter of Glenn and Bertha (Channels) Petty. She lived in the area her whole life, graduating from Southern Local High School in 1965, and later worked as a cook for Adkins Care Center until her retirement in 2002.

She enjoyed many things, but most of all she enjoyed reading books, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was also known for her love of dogs.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brothers Bobby, Eugene, and David Petty.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Melissa Rockwell of East Liverpool, her six grand children, Brandi, Travis, Courtney, Brandon, Tyler, and Chris, as well as her great grandson Aaron.

She was loved by her family and all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Calling hours will be held Friday, December 3rd, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 followed by a service at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Dirk Hall of Living Well Church. Burial will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
