Almeada Sanchez Sloan Wilson Tipton, 77 of East Liverpool passed away at her home on Saturday, July 18, 2020 surrounded by her family. Almeada was born on November 26, 1942 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of William Paul Tipton. She resided in the area for most of her life.

Almeada was a member of the Edwardian Ladies as well as a member of the Campground Community Church. She was among the best knitters and crocheters in three counties. Almeada was also a master of the craft of Cherokee Finger Weaving and beading. She was a member of Turtle Clan. Almeada was known for her endless generosity and kindness, influencing generations in our community. She leaves behind many who called her their second mom or grandma.

Almeada leaves behind her two sons, Joseph Williams of New York City and Robert Williams of Ireland. Also surviving are three brothers: Bruce, Ron and Preston Tipton, all of Wisconsin, and one sister, Kathy Coughenour, of Peoria, OK; her granddaughter, Sarah Williams and great grandson, Gary Rawleigh.

As per Almeada’s wishes, no funeral service will take place. An open house gathering will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 1PM until 8PM at her home: 806 St John Street East Liverpool, OH. Please call Joe at (646) 510-6194 to arrange your safe visit.

    Jodi and family. I just saw on Facebook that Almeada passed away. I am so very sorry. My heartfelt condolences to all. I have many, many happy memories of our exploits in our younger days that still make me smile. RIP, Almeada. Love you!
