Gifts & Memorial Donations

Arthur ‘Kellie’ (AK) Kellie Conway, 81, of St. Clairsville entered into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Ohio.

He was born June 11, 1941 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late John Kellie and Bertha ‘Bertie’ (Geis) Conway.

Kellie was the owner and operator of many auto parts stores in the Ohio Valley, including Bridgeport Auto Parts, St. Clairsville Napa Auto Parts and Ernie’s Auto Parts.

Kellie was a 1959 graduate of Bridgeport High School. During his high school years, he played football, basketball and baseball. Following graduation, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kellie was a former member of the Bridgeport Boosters, Lansing Sportsman Club and the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship International. Kellie and his wife, Claudine helped start the Tuesday Night Bible Study that started as a home bible study and evolved, resulting in a church setting. He was a very involved member of the East Richland Friends Church where he taught Sunday School. Through the church he was involved in many steak fry’s that brought countless sports figures to the area to share their testimonies throughout the Ohio Valley. Kellie was a member of the Christian Soldiers and the Director and Founder of Americans for God and Country. After retirement, both Kellie and Claudine were tour guides with Columbus AAA, sharing their love for travel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Kellie Conway.

Surviving are his high school sweetheart who he married on April 7, 1962, Claudine Ann (Longshaw) Conway, children, Michelle (Keith Bennett) Conway-Bennett, Joshua Aaron  Conway, Sister, Sandra Catherine (Mick) Nestor, brother-in-law, Gordie Longshaw, Grandchildren, Claudia (Greg McMillin) Bennett-McMillin, Addison Bennett, Leyna (Glen) Conway-Bertelli, Bradon Kellie Conway, Gage Andrew  Brautigam, Nieces, Nicole  Longshaw and Stephanie Connors, Nephews, Eric Longshaw, and Todd Nestor, and 3 great nieces.

As we reflect on this wonderful man as he has arrived into the arms of Jesus, we will remember his many words to countless people expressing the love of his Lord. His love for Jesus was extended to his high school sweetheart who became his wife of 60 years. Together, they shared their love with their children and grandchildren. Kellie wanted to share his love for the Lord with everyone he met. He would always ask people: “Do you have your ticket punched?” This meant, “Have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?” Kellie truly had a passion for his family and had an immense love for his God and his Country! He spent his life sharing his knowledge and love with everyone he met. He will be missed by many.
