Robert Blair Hornbaker

Robert Blair Hornbaker, 82 of Moundsville, WV passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.

Robert was born July 25, 1932 in Herdon, Va, the son of the late Clair and Kelsie Blair Hornbaker.

Robert was a 1951 Graduate of Mt. Vernon Academy in Mount Vernon, Ohio, served in the US Army for 3 years, worked as a realtor and a self -employed painter/ contractor who worked on Johnston Island in the Pacific Ocean for three years.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Rosalie Taylor Hornbaker of Moundsville: daughter, Connie Elaine ( David) Adkins of Summit Point, WV; two sons, John Hornbaker of Manassas Va, and Bob (Jeannie) Price of MD; sister Helen Martin of Marshall, Va; three nieces; aunt, Glady Kidwell of Arlington, VA; two Step-daughters, Sheila McCroskey (Michael) Gemensky and Dawn Nell McCroskey (James) Wheeler; step-son, Rob Polen of VA; two grandsons, Brian and Kevin Hornbaker; granddaughter, Irianna Grace Adkins; four step-grandchildren, Scott and Tim Gemensky, Corey Wheeler and Jamie Burke.

Per Robert’s request, there will be no services at this time. A Memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
