Diana Lynn (Hyde) Gurney

Diana Lynn (Hyde) Gurney, 67, of Moundsville, WV. passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born on April 7, 1954 in Glen Dale, WV, daughter of the late Clarence Hyde.

Diana was a former waitress for Ernies Esquire who loved to go to yard sales, flea markets and the beach. Diana also loved to spend her time gardening, traveling, fishing and visiting with her family.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Walter Gurney and two sisters, Janet Hyde and Sandra Kay Hyde in 1956.

Surviving is her mother, Deloris Shelton of Moundsville; sons, Tom Gurney and his fiancée Doriska Choate of Moundsville and Christopher Gurney and his fiancée Christina Blaylock of Conaway, SC; three grandchildren, Isabella Lynn Gurney of Conaway, Briella Mina Gurney of Conaway and Bailey Morgan Moore of Woodsdale, WV.

A Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, from noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Kenny Hardway officiating.
