Pre-Need Transfer Information
WV Pre-Need Funeral Law allows people who have made prearrangements at one funeral home to
transfer those arrangements to another funeral home. You are not required to provide a reason for this
transfer, and you can transfer as often as you find necessary to have your needs satisfied.
The process is very simple. You just complete and sign a WV Pre-Need Transfer Form and deliver that
form to the funeral home who will be accepting your transfer. The new funeral home handles everything
else for you. You never have to speak with anyone at the prior funeral home, and if they call you, they are
